چکیده
Background: Hypertensive disorders in pregnancy remains a leading cause of maternal morbidity and mortality all over the world as per World Health Organization (WHO), affecting 5-10% pregnant women. Screening women at an early stage preventing complications are corner stone management pre-eclampsia. Several studies have proven reliability beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG) predictor preeclampsia. In this study we aim to find correlation increasing levels β-hCG with severity preeclampsia. Methods: serum estimation was done 200 between 13 20 weeks gestation, selected randomly period 1 year attending antenatal clinic by quantitative determination electro-chemiluminescence immunoassay. Multiple median (MOM) is calculated from charts norms available. They were followed till delivery for development The following patients up delivery. Blood parameters, blood pressure readings, 34 every patient noted results analysed statistically. Results: incidence preeclampsia population 8% (16 out 200). This found significant MOM’s preeclampsia. Conclusions: study, there association MOM values parameters defining our show be not only reliable marker prediction preeclampsia, but also its severity.

Serum beta human chorionic gonadotropin levels and preeclampsia.
OBJECTIVE Preeclampsia is one of the most common complications of pregnancy. It is a trophoblastic disorder. Since human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is secreted by trophoblast, the purpose of the study was to determine the levels of beta (hCG) in preeclampsia and normal cases. METHODS This study was conducted on 40 term pregnant women with preeclampsia (case group) and 40 normal pregnant cas...
متن کاملThe Correlation of the Follicular Fluid Levels of Anti-Mullerian Hormone and Beta Human Chorionic Gonadotropin with Oocyte Matura-tion
Background: Follicular fluid (FF) plays a key role in preparing a microenvironment for the development and fertilization of oocytes. Moreover, biochemical and hormonal changes in the FF surrounding the oocyte can affect its quality and successful fertilization. The present study was conducted to investigate the relationship of beta human chorionic gonadotropin (beta-HCG) and anti-mullerian horm...
متن کاملWomen with Elevated Second Trimester Human Chorionic Gonadotropin Level Are at Increased Risk for Preeclampsia*
In current screening test for Down’s syndrome (namely maternal serum alpha-fetoprotein-AFPhuman chronic gonadotropinhCG-, unconjugated estriol plus maternal age) an elevated level of hCG is an important predictor of fetal aneuploidy (1). The positive predictive value of the multiple marker screening test is approximately 4.3% (2). Besides Down’s syndrome, triploidy, trophoblastic diseases, and ...
متن کاملA molar pregnancy detected by following beta-human chorionic gonadotropin levels after a first trimester loss.
This case report summarizes the sequence of events that led to the detection of a molar pregnancy missed by ultrasound and initial pathology examinations. This patient illustrates that following serial quantitative beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (B-hCG) levels after spontaneous, therapeutic, and elective abortions will help detect potentially life-threatening molar and ectopic pregnancies. F...
